Bloomfield resident Corinna Sowers Adler has been nominated for the first-ever Tony Award to be given in the category of Excellence in Theatre Education.

Sowers Adler, who hosts a music series at the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center, is also the executive director of the Gas Lamp Players, the community-theater organization of Glen Ridge. She is also recognized as one of the leading cabaret singers in New York where she sings regularly at the Metropolitan Room.
