“Music at the Mansion” is a series showcasing talented performers from NYC and NJ. The series is hosted by NYC Cabaret singer and Bloomfield resident Corinna Sowers – Adler and features Deborah Martin on piano.
The series came about when Corinna saw the need for Cabaret performers to have a place to perform in Northern NJ. The company she owns with her producing partner and husband, NiCori Studios had just moved into the beautiful Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center. Oakeside comes equipped with one of the most beautiful and acoustically perfect rooms, the Solarium. where “Music at the Mansion” is held each last Sunday of the month.
Corinna took one look at the room, sent out a notice, started booking talented singers and performers from NYC, and NJ, and the rest is history!
“Music at the Mansion” has had the honor of hosting wonderful Cabaret greats like Susan Winter, Tanya Holt, Deb Berman, Sara Rice, Sean Harkness, and in Fall 2011 hosted a special evening of music by Broadway and TV’s own Carole Demas.
The series is completely vocally acoustic, reminiscent of House Concerts of times gone by. Audiences have been thrilled with the intimate setting, beautiful atmosphere and the sound of the voice in it’s purest form.
This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts and administered by the Essex County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.
