Jennylind Parris moved to Bloomfield two years ago after residing in New York City for 16 years. She is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association having performed in theaters across the country. Some of her noted roles included, Grace in Cinderella, Sadie in I Love a Piano, Sister Amnesia in Nunsense, and Amy in the award winning New York production of Where’s Charley. Last year she was honored to originate roles in Robin Rice’s, Everyday Edna Mae, and Leslie Kimbell’s Four Old Broads in NYC.
Jennylind has always loved the intimate genre of cabaret and was thrilled to present her one-woman tribute to her hero Carol Burnett in, “A Woman of Character: A Tribute To the Incomparable Carol Burnett” at the Metropolitan Room, Don’t Tell Mama, and the Laurie Beechman Theater. She has been referred to by critics as not only”hilarious” and ” farcically funny” but also “a gifted actress and elegant singer with a rich voice, grace, and ease.” She is currently working on writing a new show with Cabaret Triple Crown winner, Gretchen Reinhagen featuring stories from her heart and songs with a little country flavor.
In addition to her career on stage she is a Pastor, spending much of her time ministering to women and other artists. One of her greatest attributes is her love for people and she aims to infuse everyone she meets with joy and love. Audiences are sure to be embraced by her heart and humor.
