Singer/Songwriter Amy Rivard, Windsor native, has performed on Broadway and in over 30 countries with shows like Celtic Woman, Riverdance and The Roy Orbison Story (with Roy’s younger brother, Sam Orbison). She has performed her one woman show on SilverSea 6 Star Cruiselines & has performed the national anthem for NASCAR at both the Michigan International Speedway and Watkins Glen International as well as Madison Square Garden for the NY Rangers.
In 2012, she released Shout it Out an EP of original theatrical pop songs with themes of heartache, longing, inspiration and even ghosts. Her hit, “The Three Divas” was inspired by a night she visited the restaurant “The Astor Room” www.theastorroom.com in the legendary Kaufman Astoria Studios, a major television studio in NYC. Let’s just say she learned a lot about the silent film stars that used to dine there and “The Three Divas” pays homage to some of the glamorous beauties that have not yet left the building….
Praised for her vulnerability and honesty, the title song from her new album released this year, “Where I Am” sheds light on the value of being in the moment and seeing life as it is, and not as it ought to be.
“Where I Am” & “Shout it Out” can be found on itunes, Amazon and pretty much every digital medium out there! Amy has a BFA Honors degree in musical theater from the University Of Windsor. She lives and works in NYC.
